FOCUS Invites: Meet the curators

Kiron Robinson

Kiron Robinson has curated a number of exhibitions – Is/Is not, West Space, Melbourne, 2016;The Big East and The Big East (Biggerer), site-responsive exhibitions, various locations, Melbourne, 2013 & 2014; Hevy, Conical, Melbourne, 2011; Polar, Margaret Lawrence Gallery, Melbourne, 2007; Doubt, Conical, Melbourne, 2006 – testing the conventions or art practice, production, exhibition and the relationships between these states as they relate to an art practice.

His curatorial interest is underpinned by a deep personal questioning within his own artistic practice that utilises a range of material strategies to investigate the idea of doubt, faith and failure as constructive devices. Robinson’s work continually chases ways of articulating, that which, by its own definition, is beyond articulation. Robinson has exhibited his work widely both nationally and internationally.
